Income was up some from Feb to a total of about $2700.
Switching back to WP
Yup, so after a year or so, I am now switching back to WordPress. I found that doing everything the way I wanted it with pelican was getting too difficult. I also wanted to do more stuff like including an amazon store.
One of the other major things was speed. I was using s3 to host the websites and thought that it would be super fast. The truth was it was fast, but not as fast as I wanted it to be. I could of course just use my own server with some caching, but when you factor in everything, it works better this way.
Did a ton of stuff:
Since I was switching back to WordPress, I worked on my processes, and developed some tools to make launching easier. I built a set of 5 docker containers: datastore, database, php5-fpm, nginx, and postfix.
I also built a script that launches a new set pretty easily.
I started using bedrock as the WordPress base as I wanted to use the automation stuff.
I also decided on sage for the base theme. I really like the automation, between bower, gulp, and wiredep.
Launched a new site
I launched a new site, it is a funny picture site. Way different than what I am used to, but I thought I would try it out.
Video Studio almost finished
I worked on building the studio all of march, and it should be ready to go now. I plan on doing the first videos in April.
I put out a press release for one of my sites. Honestly, it didn’t really move my site at all.
I made some adjustments to my script, and launched it again. Basically I wrote a script to automate switching the vyprvpn connection every hour. I stopped it today (april 7th) as the site did terrible today, and I don’t know if it is the culprit.
Amazon payment delayed
I still haven’t received the payment from Amazon. It is my biggest payday yet, and it is still missing. My account is in the hole for about $1500 right now. Sucks, and I can’t do anything about it. I will call Amazon again on Friday if I don’t receive it.
