Site 1 is slowing down a bit after last month… I am doing everything I can to keep it growing.
I created a new script that essentially fakes user engagement on my sites that has a lot of potential. I built most of it around Christmas, tried it out, and when it didn’t work, I forgot about it. Well, I was reading some more about how it should work, so I have been fixing it up a bunch and it is now humming along. It has two functions: 1 it searches for my keywords on google and then clicks on the urls that I tell it to, it then stays on the page for a while and then clicks on an internal url. This is to improve click-through-rate and bounce-rate from g’s perspective. The other function is a little shadier as it first clicks on each site ranked higher for the keyword and then clicks back within 10-15 seconds or so, when it gets to my url, it does the same thing as the other function. I have it running on a bunch of keywords now.
Site 2 is slow starting. I don’t rank very high for the keywords that I want to rank for. It is getting better, but slowly. This site was launched 9 Oct.
OK, so enough with past/current. I want to jot down what I have been thinking about for future. I think something along the lines of: Tool site, Home (improvement, handyman, etc…) site, and an everyday stuff site combination would work out well. For example, I need to fix an electrical problem at the house. I buy some electrical tools, and do a review of them (tool site), and review how to fix the problem (home site). The fact that I am doing one thing and using the content for multiple sites is cool. Maybe a better example would be replacing a washing machine. I do a video/article for the tool site while replacing the washing machine. I then do a review of the washing machine and its replacement for the Home site, and finally I do a review of the washing machine for the everyday site. I also add a snippet of the review to Amazon (with the goal of joining the vine program). Boom. 3 sites with new, good content, and an amazon review for the purchase of 1 item.
The other thing that I have in my head is giveaways. How can I leverage giveaways to make a powerful site? Can I do the reviews, then give the product away for +1s, and make money?
Oh. I want to track Ahrefs metrics over time:
Site 1: 26/48
Site 2: 17/44
Moz: 18/30, 29/37
